Sorry guys, but our show tomorrow (Nov. 21st) has to be cancelled due to illness within the band. Our spanish friends of Kathaarsys are taking our spot, and their show will start at 8 pm. So be there soon enough, it's worth seeing their show!

An interesting trip into the world of doom metal...

First of all a huuuuge THAAAANX to Marco and the other guys of concert organizers BLOOD SESSIONS. They really made this a great gig last night! Thanks to Kathaarsys for playing with us.
And last but not least: THAAAANK YOU all who came out to Thun on a Tuesday night. May lots of energy be with you at work today...

Our next gig takes place this SUNDAY, April 19th, 2009. We play at ROCK CITY Uster where we are the opening act for a night of Doom Metal with PROCESSION (Chl), REINO ERMITANO (Per), GRIFTEGARD (S).

First of all a big fat THAAAAAAANX to TOTAL ANNIHILATION for giving us the possibility to play with them on January 17th. Of course we got lost in Basel (due to the negative kharma of our ZH license plates). But we made it on time and were surprised how crazy the party was already raging - at 16:50!

We also have our first gig for 2009 coming up. On January 17th, we play at New Years Metal Meeting at Jugendtreff Neubad in Basel. Our gig starts at 16:50 (doors open at 15:00), so be there EARLY! There are going to be eight bands and a BBQ, beer and mead to keep you going! See you there!

We had to postpone the date of our concert at Dynamo Werk21. The show will be on May 21st, 2008.

In other "news": we are still working on new songs. Bizarre melodies and weird words have found the way into our creations. The one we're tackling right now in our freezing cold rehearsal room (this sounds cliché, but it's the truth) is called "Furious Green Dreams". But of course we have other ones in the pipeline as well.

Concerts are also being planned, the next one will be on May 14th in the Werk21 in Downtown Zurich together with the thrashers of "Total Annihilation" (from Basle).

As previously announced, we are playing at Dynamo Werk 21 (downstairs) in Zürich (Switzerland) on September 22nd. It's the goodbye-gig of Beflashed Records. The line up is as follows:

Well, well, well. Another trip to Germany and again we had a lot of fun.
A big thank you to Freiburg-based melodic death metallers WORLD TO ASHES who invited us to play at their CD-release party. Thanks for a great organization, yummy food and an awesome night!
Of course our thanks also go to SACRIFICIUM and DESCEND TO RISE who also shared the stage with us this night...

New Compilation "Against NSBM - Back to the Burning Roots"

We are participating in the Euronydead Records compilation "Against NSBM - Back to the burning Roots".

This compilation is packed with 75 minutes of black metal from all over the place. The release date is set for August 8th. Check out Euronydead Records' Myspace profile (it's in our top friends at www.myspace.com/knowhere) for more details.

On June 22nd, 2007 we will play at the CD release party of German melodic deathers World To Ashes. The gig will take place at JuZe Denzlingen (in the Freiburg area, southern Germany). Here's the flyer:

Concert pictures and more live plans

After a pretty tough live-month it's time to say "Thank you". Thank you Hägar of Rock City for giving us the opportunity to play with German thrashers Reckless Tide on March 18th. Although the club wasn't full that Sunday, it was a cool night! Another "thank you" of course goes to our buddies of Nächtlich Thränet who agreed to join us on stage on short notice - and to Mätte for taking some pics of this gig!

Furthermore, we have to thank the organizers of the W:O:A semi-final at the Sommercasino Basel. Although we didn't make it to the final, the gig was a lot of fun. As we don't have any photos of this event, we put a live-video online, which can be downloaded here. It also gives you a glimpse of our new material as it contains a performance of our new song "Seven Winters".

Finally, we would like to thank Rü, Tina, Marlène and the whole Underground Bierhübeli / Headbangers Ball crew for a truly memorable night in Bern. It was awesome to play together with Exit at this Headbangers' Ball. Thank you very much for everything! Meanwhile, we have received another concert request which we happily agreed to do. On June 22nd, 2007 we will play at the CD release party of German melodic deathers World To Ashes. The gig will take place somewhere in the Freiburg (southern Germany) area. As soon as we know more about the location, we will let you know.

We have new concerts coming up in March and April.
First, we will play at Sommercasino Basel on Friday, March 23rd at the semi-final of the Wacken contest. The other bands of the evening are MY STUPID DREAM, CITIZEN HELL, CENSORED, MOLE and TANELORUM. Each band will play a 20 minute set. KNOWHERE will play first because our drummer Kov plays "the left hand path"-way. So be there early to support us!!!!

On Easter Saturday, April 7th, we are playing at Headbangers Ball at Underground Bierhübeli in Bern. Sursee-based EXIT will join us on stage. Be there as this concert will be more exciting than Easter bunny and eggs :-)!

Upcoming gigs
Well, well, the Aeronoise-organized concert at Hive club with SPECK and British rockers DJEVARA went very well and the same goes for our gig in November together with BRITNEY (no, not the ex-wife of KFed, but the cool grind band from Basel) and CRYPTIC VOICE. A big THANK YOU to the bands for playing with us and to AERONOISE and BRITNEY for organizing the gigs! Click here for pictures.

Our next concert is on January 27th, 2007, together with our death metal buddies EYES SEE RED and the fresh crusties from FIREBREATHER. It takes place at Terra, Pfaeffikon (SZ), formerly known as Schwanen. Hope to see you there!!

Tour report
Furthermore, it is finally time for our little tour report which gives some insight to our touring with NECROPHOBIC, RAISE HELL and ORIGIN BLOOD. A huge "Tack" goes out to the Sverige possé for the cool living together on tour. And a huge thank you to Jörg, Wolfgang & Kraft Evention for the overall organization, Locke for magical soundscapes, Eumel for selling our stuff and Dieter for a safe journey!

Knowhere are NOT going to play as the opener of Enslaved on September 20th. After some organisational confusion it turned out that Vreid are the only support band on this evening. Therefore, you just have to wait a little bit longer to see more Knowhere live action again.
We are starting our tour with Swedish bands Necrophobic and Raise Hell on October 5th! Exact dates and locations will be announced shortly. See you there!!

We will take part in a very special concert on June 24th, 2006 as we were booked to play a gig at a real historic castle ruin in Pfeffingen, Baselland (Switzerland).
It's time for Midsummernight ('s Dreams) and thus for Spaktekel. The festival starts at 2 p.m., we will enter the stage after 8 p.m. Apart from Knowhere, the following bands will share their tunes with us: Excelsis, Branâ Keternâ, The Rattlebones, Des Königs Halunken und Eire Coel Mor. Furthermore, you can enjoy fire-eaters, DJs, and food & drink. The entry is FREE OF CHARGE, parking spaces are available. Hope to see you there!

We got new merchandise for the girrrrrls: Black Knowhere girlie shirts, available in sizes S, M and L made out of 95% cotton and 5% elastane.
Front and backprint are the same as the normal Knowhere shirts.
And the price is also the same: CHF 15.-- respectively 10 US$ / Euros plus postage.

In the meantime, we got four metal compilations which each have one Knowhere song on them: Metalmessage II, Beflashed II, The Reaper Comes V and Schwermetall II samplers are for sale here as well.

We just got confirmed for another gig at FRJZ Uster (ZH) next Saturday (January 21st) as another band cancelled the show. We'll rock the stage together with Abgrund and Admetos-Dilemma. Thanx Greuti for asking us!! And...be there early as we're scheduled as opening act.

A word of thanks goes out to Melanie, Laila, Mario and the whole crew at Galeria Pratteln for an absolutely wonderful concert last night. Great people, great atmosphere, awesome sound and yummy food - you definitely rule!!!

As time flies by we have to send out some hearty THANX. On October 21st, S.O.M.M. organized a great concert with ATRITAS and us at Rock City Uster. Thank you very much Michel, Alberto & Co. and ATRITAS for this beautiful evening and the professional organization! We really had a great time. Pix of this gig can be found HERE.

A week later we traveled to Germany and got on stage at the Baden in Blut festival in Lörrach. Great hospitality, yummy food and the experience of playing in a gym - just awesome!!! A fat THANX goes out to Arthur, Daniel, the Metalmaniacs Marktgräflerland and the whole team as well as to GRABNEBELFÜRSTEN, DISPARAGED, SPEEDBALL and BRITNEY for making this night a truly special night to remember!! Looking back on last year, we would like to thank all web- and print magazines, radio stations, concert organizers and distributors for their support. A big thanx goes of course out to all the bands we played with and all the people who came to our concerts. You rule!!!!

Knowhere on Beflashed sampler, German interview with Metalmessage.de

We are busy rehearsing for our appearance at the Guitars against Cancer festival at C4 (Islikon, TG) on September 24th and writing new songs. In the meantime, we were offered another compilation spot, one of our songs can be found on the second Beflashed sampler released towards the end of 2005. For more information see www.beflashed.ch

Two concerts confirmed

We have not been lazy in the meantime, two new concerts have just gotten confirmed.
On September 24th, we are part of the charity festival GUITARS AGAINST CANCER. It takes place at Club C4 in Islikon (TG) and REQUIEM, LUNACY, LORDRUN, NIGHTHUNTER and MORTAL FACTOR will also join us. About a month later, we're traveling to Germany again. On October 29th, we're playing at the BADEN IN BLUT-festival at the Mehrzweckhalle in Lörrach-Tumringen. Preparations for two more compilation appearances

Knowhere is currently preparing two more appearances on metal samplers. One of our songs will appear on "Metalmessage Vol. II" and "The Reaper Comes 5", which are both German compilations.

Knowhere's first airplay in American radio plus Merch in Upstate New York

Knowhere's song "The snowball" got airplayed on the weekly metal show on 88.5 FM. (Rochester, NY area) at the end of April 2005. Listeners' calls were very positive, people showed real interest in our sound. So now our merchandise can be bought at House of Guitars and Record Archive (Rochester) as well as at Heavy Metal Records (Old Church Mall), Webster. Heavy Metal Records also carries our shirts.

Once more Knowhere is playing at KuZeB in Bremgarten. Our former rehearsal room "neighbours" eyes see red have invited us to their cd-release party to heat up the audience. This won't be very difficult in June...

In the meantime, the press has discovered "The Mascot" and uttered some opinions about our work. We'll share the reviews with you as soon as possible...

Snow, ice, cold. A heated audience. A couple of drum sticks. A block of ice. A new cd, inside the ice... Task: to get the cd out of the ice...
With lots of aggression and a hammer, "The Mascot" broke free and was officially released.

A huge THANX to everybody who joined us at the KuZeb and helped to break the block of ice to pieces. Our special thanx goes to the ELKS-Syndicate for organizing the evenying, to Sniper for giving us a great sound and to eyes see red and Creeping Vengeance, who supported us with their music on March 27th, 2004.
Of course there are some photos of our cd-release party (thank you Anita (www.schwermetall.ch) and Anna H. for taking these pictures).

In the meantime we've written a studio report in order to illustrate how "The Mascot" was created.
The photo section has grown, too. We have new photos of our concert in Stuttgart, Germany (February 7th, 2004) and our New Year's Eve gig at KuZeB, Bremgarten.

Our discography has grown a bit as well and contains further information on our earlier oevres. Last, but not least a technical detail: We moved to a new server at the end of March 2004. There might be some small bugs on our website. If this is the case, please write us an e-mail, so we can fix it.
If you wrote us an e-mail around the end of March, it might have disappeared due to the domain change. Please send your mail again!!! Thank you!

Yeeeaaaahhhh!!!
We have just released our second album entitled "The Mascot". It contains 8 tracks, a 12-pages booklet (DVD-format) with hand painted artwork and calligraphic writing. The 8 creations of atmospherical black metal (no keyboards used) have been professionally recorded without losing the raw metal feeling.
